About The Playbook
This newsletter is your new weekly all-in-one guide to real estate investing. We’ll not only keep you informed on the latest important economic data and market trends, we’ll cover the deals, dealmakers, and strategies that every successful real estate investor needs to know.
Our goal is simple: To inform and empower you to capitalize on all the opportunities this industry has to offer. There are a lot of self-proclaimed “gurus” out there selling you their “quick and easy” systems. We’re not going to waste your time with that hocus-pocus. We’re going to give you the tips and tools you need to secure lasting wealth through real estate.
Whether you’re new to real estate investing or a seasoned pro looking to brush up on their skills, The Playbook is tailor-made for you. Every week, we’ll be answering frequently asked questions surrounding the hottest topics, including:
- What’s the difference between BRRRR and multi-family investing?
- How should you use private lenders as opposed to conventional lending sources?
- What tactics can you use when dealing with short-term rental or vacation homes?
- What are the pros and cons of investing in data centers or cold storage facilities?
- How do you get involved in land deals?
But before answering those questions, we want to address the most important one.
Why focus on real estate investing?
We believe that any person seriously interested in financial freedom and wealth creation should consider real estate investing. It’s not the only path to success, but it’s definitely one of the most powerful tools out there.
Here are four key reasons:
- It’s a proven way to make big money. On Forbes’s 2023 list of billionaires, 193 (7%) made their money not from tech or old money, but from real estate. Also, in his groundbreaking 2014 study of billionaires, Brookings scholar Darrell West found that real estate was the second-best way to create wealth. He calculated that 15% of all billionaires made their fortune through real estate. Prior to the tech era, real estate and retail were the main drivers of wealth for billionaires.
- Homeowner attitudes are changing. A recent survey found more than half of young homeowners (55% of millennials and 51% of Gen Z) are interested in using their homes to generate rental income. That’s right. Buyers now want to use their own homes to generate wealth.
- Housing is a significant economic driver. Housing’s contribution to US GDP now averages between 15–18%. That’s almost two bucks out of every 10. If you’re not tapping into this force in our economy, you are missing out.
- It’s fun! Just admit it. We all know you’ve been “Zillow surfing” too. But you don’t have to fantasize anymore. We’re going to help you master the strategies, tactics, and practical steps you can take to realize your real estate aspirations.
